"Temptation"
Budapest, Leopold Bloom Award (Hungary)
September 2011

Temptation revolves around the notion of unfulfilled expectations. During the performance there is a sense of anticipation on behalf of the audience in relation to the actions being witnessed but the outcome is always different to what it "should" or "could" be. Unfulfilled expectations can be a source of great unhappiness in life. This piece reverses the logic by indicating how there can also be grave consequences if certain primitive urges are fulfilled.
Several audience members will be invited to participate in the piece. During the performance, they will be enticed to relinquish their trust and surrender their inhibitions.
Expectation, temptation, trust and inhibition are elements of all human relationships and this performance throws a frame around these issues in live time.
